    • Youngest son of the Manse of Applecross He was a most remarkable man. See info in files under John Martin 'The MacAulays of Bracadale'. He was chosen by Earl of Selkirk to supervise his colonization schemes for Prince Edward Island. He sailed on the Polly with a large contingent of Skye emigrants, many of them relatives of his own, to P.E.I., and founded a Skye settlement at Belfast on that island.
