2100-2110 Main street Vancouver Washington. This building apparently new in 1925 according to: The Vancouver Columbian, 1925-02-10, Vol XVII No. 96 Page 1 and 2, "New Building for upper Main" Mrs. E. R. Schofield is having plans drawn for a one story brick store building at 21st and Main streets. A feature of the design is the Terra Cotta work which will have a pleasing effect …. The Davis Building Company, which has just recently opened an office in the Schofield Building will design and build the structure. Construction work is expected to be started this week."\n\nThis date and glaze matches order "#134 Glaze 222 for the Schofield Building" noted in Leonard Martins Order book for the Columbia Terra Cotta Company 1925. \n\nAlso same glaze for an addition to the store in late 1927 or early 1928. Order "#199, Glaze 222, Addition to Store Bldg for Mrs Schofield, Vancouver, WA, 21st and Main."\n\nThe building still stands in 2018 and houses 4 or five retail shops. Photo taken Feb 2018. The coloring is not original as it has been painted over.
