Martin Sheue and Mary Spain were married December 24^th, 1862 in

Peoria, Mahaska county Iowa. Martin Sheue was a skilled wood-worker

and was listed in the 1900 census as a "Wagon Maker". He lived on the

homestead in Peoria, Mahaska County Iowa until his death in 1900.

Martin is buried behind the small church in Peoria.

Both he and Mary had been married before. Martin's first wife was

Emiline Roop and Mary's first husband was Theodrick Spain.

Through these various marriages they had at least seven children

but their only child together was Thomas Sherman Sheue.
